JUSTIN HOLLANDER

Dr. Justin Hollander received his doctor of osteopathy degree at Michigan State University’s college of osteopathic medicine.

During his residency, Dr. Hollander completed subspecialty rotations in pediatric orthopedics trauma orthopedics and joint reconstruction.

Dr. Hollander was also a student athletic trainer at Michigan State University working with college athletes for 3 years.  He opened his practice in Traverse City in August of 2011. Dr. Hollander treats many injuries and conditions including revision hip replacements, total hip arthroplasty, total knee Arthroplasty, unicompartmental knee replacement, arthroscopic surgery, revision knee Arthroplasty, adult trauma, fracture care and general orthopedics. He is also dually accredited in the Zimmer Biomet ROSA and the Stryker MAKO robot-assisted total hip and knee replacement surgeries. Dr. Hollander offers multiple approaches to total hip arthroplasty tailored to the individual patient.

Dr. Lerche received his bachelor’s degree from The University of Michigan majoring in molecular biology and biotechnology, Dr. Lerche attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Eric B. Lerche is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in shoulder/hip/knee reconstruction, fracture care and sports medicine. He is also board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons – AAOS, Orthopedic Trauma Association – OTA, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine – AOSSM,
and the American Osteopathic Association – AOA.

Dr. Lerche’s philosophy in his own words…”I provide compassionate care for my patients focusing on exhausting all non-operative treatments before proceeding to surgery. I treat my patients as I would like to be treated; approachable and on the same level. All treatment options are shared between myself and my patient because it is the patient that knows their body the best.”

Kevin C. Bryant

Foot and Ankle Surgeon

Dr. Dr Bryant specializes in conservative and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle. Bryant is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and American Podiatric Medical Association. His Areas of special interest include sports medicine and pediatrics. Bryant treats many conditions of the foot & ankle including plantar fasciitis, achilles tendon disorders, arthritis, fracture care, bunions, hammertoes, PTTD (flatfoot) adult and pediatric, plus many more.

A native of Johnson City, Tennessee, Bryant received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology at East Tennessee State University. He earned his medical degree at Barry University, School of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery in Miami, Florida. He completed his surgical residency at the Kentucky Podiatric Residency Program in Louisville, Kentucky. During that residency, Dr Bryant completed subspecialty rotations in orthopedic trauma, pediatrics, and sports medicine.

In his free time, Bryant enjoys adventuring with his wife, Elayna. Bryant also enjoys cycling, fly fishing, hiking, camping and playing music. He is proud to be a member of the medical community in Traverse City and provides up to date, compassionate care to his patients.

Physician’s Assistant

Trisha received her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary health and human services from Western Michigan University in 2008. She worked in the medical profession for three years prior to returning to Western Michigan University where she completed her master’s degree in physician assistant studies in 2013. Prior to joining Dr. Eric Lerche at Traverse City Orthopedics, she worked as a certified physician assistant in the Traverse City area, primarily in the orthopedic specialty. She is passionate about providing quality patient care and education. Outside of the office, she enjoys rock hunting and Michigan outdoor activities with her husband and three children

Jory Smith,   Physician’s Assistant

Jory received his bachelors in biology in 2012 at Ferris State University. He continued his educational path at Grand Valley State University where he graduated in 2015 as a certified Physician’s Assistant. Jory has worked with Dr. Hollander at Traverse City Orthopedics since 2017, seeing patients in the office setting and assisting with surgical procedures in the operating room. He enjoys hunting and spending time outdoors and with his family.
